Imposter syndrome loves change
Mid-week confidence reminder
Today’s confidence reminder – your knowledge and expertise doesn’t disappear overnight.
It doesn’t disappear because you’ve been tested. It doesn’t disappear after a bad week. It doesn’t disappear because you’ve had a brain fart. It doesn’t disappear because you’re meeting someone for the first time. It doesn’t disappear because you’re talking to someone way (way!) more senior than you.
You get the point.
You know what you know – it’s what got you where you are today.
Just because something is different, it doesn’t mean imposter syndrome should take over.
No one – and I mean no one – knows everything. And confidence isn’t about knowing everything, but more about being prepared and having some level of self-trust to help you figure things out.
Or speaking to the people who can help you do that.
‘Newness’ doesn’t invalidate everything you already know. It’s simply the chance to share what you know with people you don’t.
Trust the evidence – it’s everything you’ve already done.
Enjoy the rest of your week. ✌️
